We are looking for a Head of HSE to be responsible for formulating, implementing, and overseeing the Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and systems within the organization. This leadership position ensures compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations and fosters a culture of safety and sustainability across all operations.


The role includes strategic planning, operational oversight, risk management, incident investigation, training, audits, and continual improvement initiatives.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute HSE strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Define annual HSE objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics.
    Establish a safety-first culture throughout the organization.
    Ensure compliance with all applicable local, regional, and international HSE laws and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Regularly review and update HSE policies and procedures.
    Manage environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and reporting.
    Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments.
  • Ensure all AGSI staff are trained in the HSE policies and new regulations.
    Implement preventive and corrective measures to mitigate risks.
    Lead root cause analysis of incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Design and deliver HSE training programs for all levels of staff.
    Promote behavioral safety and employee engagement.
    Maintain training records and certifications.
    Stakeholder relations (Internal and External)
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory HSE requirements
    Conduct internal HSE audits and support external audits.


KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
  • NEBOSH/IOSH certification or equivalent (mandatory).
    ISO 14001, 45001 Lead Auditor qualification preferred.
  • +12 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HSE leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry best practices.
  • Proven track record in managing HSE in [industry: construction, oil & gas, manufacturing, etc.].

    QUALIFICATION
  • B Sc- / Masters- Health & Safety.
  • OSHAD HSE Practitioner License.
  • NEBOSH IGC or IOSH MS certification.
  • Certification in Fire Fighting, First Aid, Confined Space, etc.
